Ministries

These are the various ministries that Eagle’s Nest currently offers or would like to offer as soon as circumstances allow:

I.   Boarding School

II.   Retreat for Weary Workers

III.   Practical Missions Training Center

IV.   Women in Crisis Resource Center

I. Boarding School

Raising children in today’s world is difficult, and many situations arise that cause parents to seek help for struggling teens. Eagle’s Nest will provide a basic traditional Christian education, plus an emphasis on industrial arts training and other hands-on instruction designed to teach character, responsibility, and resourcefulness. Teenage boys in danger of spiritual and moral failure will have their instability challenged with a biblical world view. An individualized plan of instruction for each young man will address his particular needs and goals. These boys will be recommended by solid, Bible-believing churches and their pastors. A program of instruction for the parents of the boys will be established through their local churches to teach biblical family principles.

II. Retreat for Weary Workers

The spiritual battles that face full-time Christian workers (pastors, missionaries, teachers, etc.) can be intense. Sometimes they need a time away to regroup and receive counsel. Eagle’s Nest will be a clean, quiet, comfortable place to rest, renew spiritual and physical strength, and strengthen family bonds. Godly counsel will be available from a strictly biblical perspective to help resolve conflict and determine the will of God for the future. We would like to reward faithful servants of God by not charging for their stay at Eagle’s Nest and will be relying on the generosity of God’s people to make this aspect of the ministry possible. While they are at Eagle’s Nest for whatever time necessary, we will attempt to provide quality replacement workers to fill in until the resident worker can return.

III. Practical Missions Training Center

The most important work of missions is evangelizing and establishing local churches, but a big part of this work is in the realm of the practical. Eagle’s Nest, therefore, will provide training in certain areas of practicality: building construction; basic plumbing; automobile maintenance and repair; basic electrical wiring; and resourcefulness—being good stewards of God’s money.

IV. Women in Crisis Resource Center

Sadly in our world of sin, there are women who have suffered unspeakable abuse of various kinds.  Many of these women are in dangerous and desperate circumstances and have nowhere to turn.  Daughters of the King Ministry, developed by Mrs. Darla Steege, will be under the supervisory and legal umbrella of Eagle’s Nest Baptist Ministries.

Purpose: To provide women a safe place to come for Biblical counsel in time of crisis, including but not limited to sexual childhood abuse.

Mission: To extend the love of Jesus to women whose lives have been devastated by crisis of every sort.

Vision: Committed to helping women break free from the effects of the crisis, to experience fulfilling and loving relationships with God and others.

In House Stay: To provide Biblical one-on-one counseling and group support, including skills training in a safe place for women who are debilitated by depression and despair, set apart from family and friends for a time.  The women’s residency housing will be at a separate location from the Eagle’s Nest facility.

Financial: Women will receive skills training through working on Three Springs Ranch and Springs of Joy Bakery.  The women will also be responsible for meal planning, preparation, and other household duties.
